    I've had two separate interactions with the staff at sideline, both times feeling unsatisfied with the response. 1) when attempting to port my existing phone number to sideline, the form asked for my account number and pin. Assuming they were referring to my Sideline account number and pin (which I could not find), in contacted support. When the person informed me that the numbers were referring to my CURRENT provider and acted like I was completely dense for not already knowing the process, I told him that the instructions could be clearer and he said that this is how it's done everywhere as though procedures for porting phone numbers is household knowledge. Though, as he said it, I did remember it working this way when I ported my cellphone number years ago so I let it go. This interaction was only a mild annoyance. 2) after the 7 days they explained the process could take, I checked in to see that there were no pending number transfers so i, again, contacted support. The woman, Laura 🙄, told me that they tried to port the phone number but I hadn't contacted my current provider to unlock the number. Again I replied that the steps to port in the phone number could be made clearer as this isn't my area of expertise (and I'm assuming it isn't for many of their clients). Again I was told that this is how every company does it, which is inaccurate as I've ported phone numbers before and have never had to contact my current provider other than to cancel the account after the number had been successfully transferred. But that isn't even the point, the point is not that I have to call myself, the point is that I was never told this on their website. Nor was I contacted when the port was unsuccessful. Instead I waited a week longer than was necessary. It's now been 10 days since I initially requested the transfer and now I am waiting for my current provider to unlock my phone number. Something I could have done 10 days ago had they not assumed that people already know the standard procedure. Additionally, when I said I wish the instructions were clearer Laura 🙄 responded by saying "is there a reason why you can't do this?" I truly hope that the poor communication is behind me and the rest of my experience is positive (if so, I'll gladly update this review to reflect the improvement) otherwise I'll just go back to GoDaddy who had excellent customer service, albeit at a higher cost. And it would be easy because now, thanks to Laura 🙄, I know how to quickly port my number away 🙃

    Don’t update. Support is over promising an update and results. Need to test before you post an update. Engineers need to test. I pay for this app too. Real sad case. If it was a ninja slice game then I wouldn’t care. This is an text and phone app that I use for business. The porting process takes 5-7 days to anyone because they are listed as a VOIP company! Go get the dual sim iPhone and eliminate this app. Dual SIM future!

    I’ve had sideline for about a year and overall pretty good. But the past month it has crashed missed calls and not been able to open several times. This is very disappointing. I use side line for my emergency contact for work.
  • Best way to add second line to your iPhone

    Been using it for several months. Absolutely flawless and never a crash. Buy it if you need it. Transfer of old number was quick and flawless , again. Try it use it enjoy it. Hope they include multiple line support in the future. If I needed a feature it would be a way to have A2B switch between original number and Sideline number. Thank you Sideline. September 19 update : oh well. Last update broke on IOS 12. Crashes on startup. Cmon guys you will doing so well.

    Long time happy user here. I’m not sure if this is anything you can control on your end, but when my phone is connected to CarPlay the app doesn’t make any noise when a text is received. Issue is only with texts, incoming calls ring as usual. If that’s something you could change that would be fabulous, thanks!

    App works well so far, I’ve had it for a few days. Calling and texting works well. My big issue with this app is the random notifications/ads it sends me daily. They’re completely unnecessary and there needs to be an option to turn them off.

    Being that I have apple music I assumed it was that but looking at my bill it was this app that I stopped using months ago... Never even agreed to being charged/ paying for premium service...
