I have been waiting almost a week for a response to my legitimate concerns , game timing out at the end of events , gem multipliers and card / deck powers not functioning properly , no reply but will gladly take my money every month and event ! How can a company literally not provide the service they promise and not have customer support address your concerns ? Beware stay away from this game they steal your money , plain and simple ! I even logged a complaint with the better business bureau it’s been so bad !

I would have rated a 4 or 5 but... issues. Skip to bottom for TLDR. The game is fun and very addictive. It is heavily geared towards a pay to play (advance) but it is not impossible to advance - just takes a lot of patience and strategizing. The learning curve is very steep but once you get it it's a snap. The challenge is what makes it fun and worth playing. The biggest issues are the lag and crashing. I've had it for about 6 weeks and I've crashed WELL over 100 times. A bare minimum of three crashes per day. Despite the fact that I have no other apps open, I have tons of free memory, I keep everything updated, I have the game set to its lowest quality settings and every other "tip" to avoid gameplay issues I'm still constantly having issues. As does everyone in my guild. Support is mostly good about reissuing lost items due to crashes (which is why I gave it two stars instead of one) but it's gotten to the point where it's not even playable. Ex: it just took me 16 minutes to do something that takes 1 minute or less when it is running properly. If they fix it I'd be happy to increase my rating but I Don't see that happening soon. TLDR: game is great normally but has gotten to the point it lags and crashes to the point of unplayability.

First off I never write reviews but this game is the best by a long shot it is NOT a pay to win paying will get you stronger fast but you can really grind and get what ever you need not even everyday grinding but when you feel like it and still come out on top

...which makes sense for a phone game. Once you join a guild, the various events can take up a good couple hours or so per day even if not using premium boosters. Anything cash related is really a bit expensive imho. Almost as if a deterrent for any but those truly wishing to support the game with money. Almost hard to call them micro transactions. The variety to the events is nice. The graphics are impressive. The variety of heroes is insane. Judging by some bitter reviews here some people haven’t grasped the debuff counter system, so I guess that means this game even has some tactical depth to it xP

The game can be fun and addicting especially the weekly events with guilds. However the in game currency and loot boxes are WAYYY overpriced, most I have ever seen. The bang for your buck is very, very low. Compared to other games that are more advanced and have much more content you will spend probably 10x the amount for the same type of stuff in this game. Read on for some details. I have played for a while now, and still do and have done pretty well but I won’t lie. At this moment I am competing in an event, I took a break to write this. Many have commented on the bad updates and poor mechanics so I will touch some other aspects. This game really pushes a new player really hard to spend real money. Don’t. Chances are you will be disappointed or upset with yourself if you spend real money on their in game currency or VIP program if you don’t spend the time, about a month, to understand the game and event types. Even something as simple as the statement that you will not have ads if you join their VIP program is misleading. Without it you can watch adds in place of spending in game currency and you will be hit with their own pop up ads. Join the VIP program and the option to watch adds goes away but you still get hit with their pop up ads, so it makes absolutely no difference as far as in game pop up ads. They do an event each week which adds new and more powerful cards, items, relics etc into the overall pool. This has been a few years now so it is almost impossible for a new player to build a complementary deck when you need to get 20 correct drops out of a pool of tens of thousands. Long term players collected these as they came out and no effort has been made to assist new players in a meaningful way that I have seen. They have multiple in game stores to spend in game currency for required items but they jack up prices on the things you need most. An example would be a hundred different 4 star items needed to upgrade stuff costs 20 currency except for the one 4 star item that is needed along with the others, they will jack it up by tens or hundreds. Making it difficult to save up in game currency to upgrade your stuff. The monthly VIP program is a joke, you get to pay for the ability to spend real money on items others can’t essentially, lol. If you save the extra in game currency you get from the VIP program you may be able to buy all the stuff for a weekly event after 2 or 3 years. They trickle everything out hoping to sucker new players into spending real money on what they believe will be worth while only to find out it has 10 tiers and each is much more expensive than the last. If you do buy that you will find it requires the tiered set that shows up the next day, and the next and the next. It literally costs hundreds of dollars to buy enough in game currency to get a single weekly event deck. And you would still have to be unbelievably lucky to get the right drops. Another example. A new player can spend 19.99 US for 100,000 gold coins, and I am sure they often do. What they don't know is that if they waited a week for a slayer event they can easily collect millions of gold coins in the game. I truly believe this game is now at the point where it is designed solely for their high paying long term customers and new players are a source to try and exploit to get real money up front using dubious tactics before they realize they don’t get much value for their money. Perhaps they are hoping that your investment up front will keep you playing so you won’t feel so cheated. Throwing bad money after bad money should probably be their new motto.

The game is fun and definitely a time killer. One suggestion I had was to be able to add and remove relics from a specific box rather than them stacking and needing to be popped off to change order

This used to be one of my favorite games, and at the very beginning, it was my go-to game, the game I would click on immediately after opening my phone regularly, the one I would look foreword to every spare moment to spend on. I have so many good memories of talking to my guild, staying up late and battling monsters through this app, splurging on it whenever I got another iTunes gift card. I remember the day I first worked up the courage to say something in the guild chat, and how rewarding it felt to be greeted with such a nice welcome. I also remember really clicking with them and making my first internet friends. This probably sounds like the ultimate player experience, and it was, for awhile. Unfortunately, after three months of playing, it became more trouble than it was worth. My guild was nice but they had a stupid rule where if you stopped playing for three days you were out. Towards the end when I was getting bored, I always had to take my guild leaders on missions so they’d know I played and wouldn’t kick me out. By the end of that three months it became so much of a chore and with the recent annoying update that upped the storage by way more than it needs to be, I decided I was done. With the explanation-less increase in stamina, difficulty in guild vs guild battles, and nearly impossible method of leveling up cards (by collecting catalysts which you basically have to pay for), by that time I was done. This game is slightly worse than a lot of other games with how little time it takes to fall into the money pit. If only they didn’t have limitations on energy, a crappy stamina system, and other annoying “pay to play” factors, this game would be absolutely perfect. I do agree with other people who say the graphics are amazing, gameplay is stellar, and the fact that the community is friendly and will help you along the way. But there are so many things that force you to pay in this game, almost too many, that an attachment to my guild isn’t nearly enough to make me want to stay.

Game is great till you play long enough that you get to a point and notice you can’t really get farther till you put a lot of money in the game since what you need to upgrade people is almost no where to be found and drop rates for even a decent champ becomes nearly impossible
