The concept of this app seemed fun, but after a few chapters, you realize you have to pay to choose answers that have positive effects on the game. And the number of diamonds need to buy the answer choices increases as you go, so you’ll spend $5 a chapter just to make the choices you want. Don’t waste your time unless you’re ready to pay $$$

  • Don’t Bother Using Diamonds For Outfits :-/

I love the storylines, but this game is beyond frustrating! I paid REAL money for diamonds so I could at least buy a few stylish outfits & rewear them...since they have the “closet” button...& since she visits the boutique for new outfits every scene change...but in The Royal Engagement they never let me access my “closet” & outfits. I paid 25-30 diamonds each for them! The button is there but never works (its greyed out) through the entire book! Since I paid REAL money for these diamonds, I feel like I should be able to access the closet/clothes I bought at any time & through any of the books. Instead my character wears the same boring black tank top for 2 weeks straight while she attempts to woo the Prince of Cordonia & the same blue dress at every ball. It doesn’t seem to matter to the characters but don’t offer the other outfits if I only get to wear them for 5-10 mins & never see them again! My advice to other players is save & use your valuable diamonds for scenes. I also feel like everything costs way too many diamonds, even the scenes, but I’d rather use them on the scenes. After I use up all my diamonds/keys I’m deleting this game & reading real romance books. At least those aren’t so frustrating & expensive!

I’m so obsessed with the game, I started with The Royal Romance and now I’m on book 2, it’s so exciting and I’m always checking for when my keys get refreshed. I love the story lines. The only thing is I wish it would at least give us 3 keys instead of 2 or refresh the keys after 2 hours instead of 3.
  • Hate the diamonds and keys

Honestly, if it wasn’t for the diamonds and keys issue, this would be worth 5 stars. It’s a great game, but to do anything worthwhile it costs too much money. I’d rather pay money for the app up front, then have to pay for every choice in every chapter. It’s insane. The keys I get, but the fact that I can’t save up more than 2 keys at a time is frustrating. It’s also frustrating that you have to play chapters to earn diamonds and even then, it’s only two, which isn’t enough to save up to actually make a difference in the game. The developers need to come up with a way for users to earn more diamonds (answer surveys, watch ads, whatever) OR increase the amount of diamonds you get per purchase OR drop the diamonds altogether and just charge for the app up front. The graphics are great, the stories are fun, but the lack of actual playability (thanks to the diamonds and only being able to save up to 2 keys at a time) makes the app more frustrating than its worth.
