  • Make sure you tie your game to a Facebook account

My phone died and my game was started without Facebook and once I did that I couldn’t tie it back to Facebook without starting over. So when my phone died they couldn’t restore my game after playing it for a year. Don’t bother with this game because it can be gone to never be seen again and there is nothing you can do about it, no matter how much time and money you have put into it. Brave EXVIUS support doesn’t care one single bit. Your tile and effort doesn’t matter to them. Avoid this game like the plague, because you can lose it all in an instant!
  • Great story but it’s a casino in disguise.

The game has great content, an excellent story, and an unfortunately very “poor” system of support for the players. When it comes to gaining your desired favorites the secret of the gambling casino appears. And with that said this game should be restricted to +18 due to its gambling nature.

I used to play this game a lot back in the day, I had all kinds of 5-6 star units and such until they messed me up HARD. I was somehow stuck on tutorial mode. Any mission I played I can’t die, none of my units can, I can’t progress either or change my units. This bug has been around for ages and who knows why they haven’t fixed it. I retried and lost about 5 accounts and retired on this game. It’s heart breaking to have lost all of my limited time units and hard work. If they ever fix it I’d raise my stars to 4-5.
  • Great game for a mobile game

Honestly, we all know mobile games are pretty repetitive l. Pay to win and all. This game has some pretty decent gameplay and strategy. Drip rates aren’t the best but it could be worse. Considering all the other FF games require you to pay, this one is the best you can get. Can never get event characters but you can always get a decent amount of 4 and 5 stars.
  • Cannot play without Facebook

This game cannot be played without a Facebook account. I don’t do Facebook anymore, so I suppose I don’t do FFBE anymore, either.
  • One of the best

I’ve played a few freemium games in my time, but Final Fantasy Brave Exvius has to top my list. I never feel pressured to make micro transactions to get the things I want. There are always ample opportunities to collect Lapis and summon tickets. Speaking of summoning, for a gatcha game, it’s really not so bad. I know a lot of people have complained about the drop rates on some units, but if a player is patient they can usually get the draw they’re waiting for. Yes, it might not be right that day/week/month but it will happen eventually. I didn’t start getting rare draws until well into the game. Now I sometimes draw units I had been wanting since forever. And sometimes I still don’t get what I was hoping for, but maybe something just as good or better. Most units never leave the official lineup, even a few that are “event exclusive”, and Gumi has been rerunning some events for players who missed opportunities the first time through. Also, you can collect Friends to take with your party into battle with you. You can either add them in-game, or ask for someone’s Friend code through any of the various message boards/discussion threads floating around the web. You don’t have to spam all your real-life friends to get them to join and play with you. These extra units are super helpful, especially since some players max out high-end characters and then are kind enough to share them with everyone. It makes adventures much easier for new players and people like me who have a few decent units by now, but aren’t interested in power gaming. I can just borrow someone else’s super strong unit to help me on a tough quest. And boy! There are a lot of events! It seems like every week there is something going on. It might be a raid or a side story dungeon. Sometimes they need NRG or raid orbs to access, but both refill over time. You’re never forced to buy refills unless you really want to go faster or play longer. I usually play for a couple of hours, go do something else while my stuff refills, and come back when a helpful notification pops up that all my raid orbs are back, a team has returned from a mission, etc. And I think you can switch off notifications via Settings if that annoys you. Plus, the events are optional. They’re only there to add some additional flavor to the game, sometimes the main story, but you don’t have to participate if you don’t want to. You don’t have to play through them to understand what’s happening in the main story, but it’s fun to sometimes meet new side characters who show up later or learn more about someone’s backstory. (Though, as a chance to get some good loot from these events, I don’t know why players would opt out.) In conclusion, I play every day since I downloaded the game more than a year ago, and I have had nothing but fun. I love the visuals (it harkens back to old sprite-based Final Fantasy games), the turn-based combat, the pleasant music (which is original but sometimes has bits of classic Final Fantasy music scores remixed in, or is even from specific games during events), and an interesting story with likable protagonists. If I have one complaint, it’s that sometimes the translation/script suffers from typos. Like, they can’t decide if it’s Goken, Gouken, and Gokuen. Sometimes it’s unclear via the dialogue as to character genders and the unit has long hair and an ambiguous costume. So unless you acquire that unit yourself or look them up online, you might be left guessing. Females have been referred to as “that guy”. But it’s not so atrocious as to make the overall story unreadable or incomprehensible. I highly recommend giving this game a whirl.
  • Do not play this game!!!!!!

If you ever upgrade your phone or change to a different phone all together, I hope you have Facebook because that is the only way to restore your account. Let me start by saying that I have been playing this game for years. Ever since the iPhone 6s came out. I just recently upgraded to the X. And because I do t have Facebook I can not restore my account. And all the money that I put into the game is lost. All the time and effort to get and level up characters is gone. I ha e been going back and forth for two weeks now trying to get this solved. But I quit. They kept asking me for more and more info. Purchase dates, friend code, transaction numbers, and their only solution is that I need a Facebook account. Now I get it, Facebook is in but I don’t care about that. I don’t have Facebook and never will so I would assume that a game that give you a player ID would be able to say no problem, we understand that you don’t have Facebook, that’s why we have player id’s so that we can transfer over your game history. But nope the player ID is there for what seems like no good reason. So I quit this game and the 3 years I put into it.
