This has been my favorite mobile game since it launched so I finally decided to put some money into it. I spent over $80 and used over 20 rare summon tickets and didn’t even get one new unit...

I love the story adventure, Excellent and never bored. I am a big fan of Final Fantasy. Some characters have 3D video for their final skills, love it. I spend my money, $120 to get Hyoh character but no luck... it’s be nice if you send me a gift. Come on $120 I want that character... seriously.

Their communicate and treatment of global (all those outside Japan) has been absolutely horrendous. They tweak their setup to get their hands in your wallet at much as possible. I honestly don’t believe their posted rates for banner units. Back to back I’ve blown a fair amount of resources on pulls and gotten the other banner unit. While i realize it’s possible that I’m unlucky I find it much more likely that they are lying because there aren’t laws to govern it in most places. The biggest thing people have been waiting on UoC (Unit is Choice) tickets, a summon ticket that lets you pick what unit you get, was shot down on how many we get from events compared to Japan and most likely was going to be made to be paid for. The outcry from the community fixed that. Still needs work before I can recommend it.
  • Fun, free, easy to grasp, challenging to master

I have so many 5, 6,and 7 Star units...probably around 100 for less than a year of playing, and I’ve never spent a penny. Drop rates are so extremely good that I can’t even even afford to level up half of the rare units I have. Almost all events have an easy, medium, hard, and advanced mode so no matter where you are in skill level, you can almost always participate. The main quest gives you so many opportunities for espers, and tons of Lapis(the rare in game currency you use to buy rare things)...and even though I’ve completed the main quest so far, and all the event quest in the last few months, there are still about 20-30 optional bosses that give great rewards and I haven’t figured out the strategy to beating yet. Plus every week-2 weeks is a new event that gives you rare items and equipment...very well done.

Great game. Terrible, greedy company. Anything that benefits the player will be nerfed and fixed ASAP. Bugs? If it doesn’t hinder profit, it can wait.
  • I can’t do it anymore

I’ve played this game since prerelease. I’ve had a lot of great memories of the game. But this year, with the hyper fixation on 5* units combined with the utter greed and incompetence in the global version, I’ve become utterly unable to have fun any more. I’m tired of being sad, upset, angry, and depressed for some entirely new reason week after week. I know this all sounds crazy, but if you’re reading this review, know that this broken state of mind is the inevitable result of anyone who plays this game. Do yourself a favor and play anything that isn’t a gacha game. There’s no happiness here. I’m finally putting my foot down.

Great game but I hate how 50% of the time I go to play it there is maintenance being done on the servers.
  • My Thoughts on FFBE

I just wanted to say that I’m just an average gamer.. however when FFBE added a lot of new contents and made things easier for NRG refills, lapis, etc. It started to become an everyday thing to open up the app and see what’s new. I know it sounds biased, and I don’t mean to put it that way. I really do enjoy playing this game. IMO I like it better than most turn based mobile games out there. Plenty of customization for your team to f***** stuff up haha. The key is knowing what type of strategy your going to use, and implementing that usage. Graphics are great, I’m pleased by it. No lags, or crashes. (On iPhone X) for now.. so if your thinking about playing this game, go ahead and download it, give it a couple of hours and time won’t matter to you. It’s securing the units YOU want. (: Thanks for reading! Probably the only cons is waiting for certain units and banners throughout the seasonal year.
  • Transparency and Locking out iOS users

I rarely ever give negative reviews for applications I use, but this is one too many from Gumi. This is the second time iOS users have been locked out of their game. Why do players suffer being locked out just because their last used device is on an iOS platform. Some people have access to android phones, so we shouldn’t be deterred from playing due to Gumi’s incompetence. The JP counterpart of this game have allowed players to login into an android device despite their iOS version still being fixed. Moreover, you guys may have alleviated the issues of UoC by announcing when we’re getting the 2 from September but it doesn’t make it any less disgusting that you planned on selling a fragment as part of a paid bundle. I am nowhere close to being free to play but this is just unfair to those who are. Next, you choose to not allow people to UoC units that have active banners because you want them to spend. I really hate comparing GL to JP but in JP, they allow players to be able to select those units right away. This system is suppose to help people get units they want/need, yet you guys as a company relentlessly put roadblocks for your players. It’s becoming more and more unpleasant to play the game when the producers want to make players lives more difficult and they cannot even push the update in a timely manner. If you guys want players to keep playing your game, I would suggest rethinking the tweaks you chose to make from the JP model because their system of UoC and login is far better than the one you decided to implement.
