The new version is unusable on my iPhone 8 Plus. I have had this app for 4+yrs, it had been great. Since the recent update shuts down in the middle of the night, therefore it does not wake me up. Please fix this bug, so that I can have my app back!
  • Fantastic tracking. Sleep aid isn’t my favorite.

Definitely a great app to help you wake up more amicably. Sometimes I wish it would just let me sleep through and other times I’m thankful for the intelligent snooze. It’s amazing to see the trends as well. I do wish their sleep aid sounds were a bit better. They tend to run, to me, violently loud/feel a bit like a rock concert. I wish there was a way to suggest other sounds (campfire anyone?) or to modify the sounds to suit your needs. Like slowing down the ocean wave so it sounds a little calmer?

There are other Smart Alarm apps that let you go to sleep while listening to music, be it one song or several... nothing here.
  • Must have!!!

I’ve been using this app, Sleep Cycle for over a year and it has changed how I look at sleep. It is a wonderful tool to help you get better sleep every single day regardless of how little or much you sleep. This is an amazing app; totally worth the few bucks that you have to pay for it.
  • Disappointed

I used to love this app. I used it every single night. But something went wrong with the new update. There have been 3 mornings now where the alarm never went off, therefore making this app essentially useless. I’m so upset about it because I really loved it but I might as well delete it now.
  • FINALLY can use this app again!!!

For the past couple years I stopped using this app because it didn’t support external speakers or Bluetooth. I like to listen to music as I’m going to sleep. It was a deal breaker for me so I found another app that let me do that, but it was never as good as Sleep Cycle. Now that sleep cycle finally supports external speakers, I can start using the app and enjoying the wonderful features it has. It’s definitely the best sleep app out there.
  • Great app, but...

Would love to be able to edit sleep times, because sometimes I forget to turn it off and then my data is wrong unless I delete the entire entry. Can never tell what gets updated other than you finally looked into the eyes of your sound engineer and blah blah. That tells us nothing and is suspicious. Apple needs to crack down on these kind of generic updates that tell the user nothing.
  • Update broke audio support

*UPDATE 3/23/19* The latest update did not fix or improve the issues in the original review below. I again uninstalled and reinstalled both apps, restarted the devices (XS Max, 8 Plus, 6S Plus), disabled mic access for Sleep Cycle, happens using both accelerometer and mic to track sleep. I was excited, ready & hopping to update this to a more positive review yet here we are stuck in the same spot. I want to mention the watch again, please add actual sleep tracking support for it. *ORIGINAL REVIEW* I use this app with Pzizz, always have. I use the accelerometer with head phones, always have. Since the last update any audio apps just crackle and crash within seconds if sleep cycle is active, not just Pzizz but any audio. I have been doing this for years and years and all of a sudden an update that adds audio support for other apps breaks it. This happens with the alarm on or off after a device restart and a reinstall of both apps. Also we need to talk about the Apple Watch. It’s been out for years now when is actual watch support going to be added? Sleep tracking on the watch, not just an alarm, we don’t need an alarm or a snore warning gimmick on our watch we need actual sleep tracking. It can be done and it can be done near flawlessly, AutoSleep, so isn’t about time sleep cycle includes this? Anyway fix the audio issue and the alarm issues others are having ASAP, I know apple expedites app breaking bug fixes which this is. I’m not emailing support or resetting my device this just didn’t happen out of the blue it happen immediately after an update was pushed through.
  • For sure a solid app, but could use improvement

I really really really wish they’d use sources such as the Apple Watch heart rate and movement to more accurately determine what stage of sleep your in. They’ve done a fantastic job using sound, and the overall quality of the app is superb. But it’s basic purpose (smart alarm) could be so greatly improved by using data already available. Very disappointing to know it’s going unused.
