  • Love it but...

They rip you off if you buy township cash. They charged me $10.98 for a bundle that cost $3.99. Another time they charged me but didn’t give me the bucks. Update:The developer sent me a message saying to contact support. What a joke. There is no way to actually contact them, just an endless loop. There is no way to get help or resolve a problem through Playrix. Update 1/17/18 bought a bundle that was $3.99, they charged me $13.97 Still cheating their customers!

  • A game that’s great the less time you play it

    By A Truly Frustrated Mayor
I played this game a few years ago and really enjoyed it and then completely stopped playing it. I couldn’t remember why. So I downloaded it again and started playing again. It took me 25 days to remember why I deleted it in the past. The reason is simple. The longer you play the less fun it is. The game is set up so the longer you play the more difficult it is to keep the game running smoothly without investing a whole bunch of money and unless you enjoy becoming a sucker to a game developer’s manipulation, by day 25 or so, the game and becomes a game of hurdles and frustration and has nothing to do with fun. You become a worker bee to your your town instead of its Mayor. And it’s an intentional transition in the part of the developers. They stretch the clock to as much as two hours to get a single item of a specific type made. They then make that item dependent on other items, some of which takes an hour or longer to create on their own. Then they make it so even though there are over thirty different items your town is producing, the same items are required simultaneously to fill both the airplane cargo and train cars. And, if that isn’t enough, trains now take over four hours to arrive after leaving your station. As an assist to you, you are offered the opportunity to upgrade the barn size, the number of items you can produce, the time it takes to produce, and the money you receive for having produced it. But the money you receive to have to produce it is given in coins. You need to use gems to shorten time frames. You need to use gold and platinum and silver bars to upgrade your factories. And you need to use dollars for everything else. So, all in all, it becomes impossible to keep your town functioning without investing tons of real cash to purchase the means to attain four different means of virtual currency. And, even after doing so, the clock will still make it rather impossible to create 9 or 12 or even as much as 18 items in the allotted time frame. This type of Game should be fun. There are hundreds of games that are meant to be stressful. If I want one I can choose to download one. But, if I (or you) are looking for a positive game, where you create and meet reasonable time constraints and where skill proves more and more essential, rather than less and less important, THIS IS NOT THAT GAME!!!! I’m just about ready to quit again and plan to do so as soon as I run out of the virtual money I purchased earlier. It’s just not worthwhile to invest in something that intentionally and actively creates frustration that can possibly (and I do mean only possibly) be relieved by investing real financial assets. difference. I get that the developers hope the frustration causes one to purchase dollars to move the game along, but even then, you can spend as much as ten dollars to upgrade your gems to get the factory to move faster for two days, only to realize the ten virtual dollars you spent was for only one gem of the two you need and the second gem will cost another ten. This it’s even more frustrating because the way you get the gems typically is by delivering airplane cargo and filling trains and they manage to delay that by hours. This game is a “bait and switch” game. The developers introduce you to a fun and well paced interaction and then add in more and more delay tactics to try to force you to spend more and more money, and need more and more favors. When this game began and pretty much for the first 23 days I was able to send people all kinds of help they needed but now it’s impossible for me to meet my own requirements and it’s become as nearly impossible for my friends to help me as it is for me to help them.

REALLY wish I could play this game more, but I refuse to spend real money on a game. I don’t understand why you guys even make these games if your gonna charge us up the hoohaw for us to even be able to use it, to the point where I’m almost done with it completely. If it wasn’t for that, the game would be a hard 5.
  • Fun but sketchy if you aren’t paying attention.

Let me start off by saying this game is super addicting and fun. I play it every day. If you’re looking for something free, this probably isn’t what you want. It’s competitive and that’s what makes it expensive. **Players be carefully aware of your coin balance when you go in the MINE.. Bc when you dig up treasure that has to be unlocked with your own coins - and then you open the treasure and it happens to be new coins.. it will suddenly reset your coin balance to zero and then it will come back to some low balance like 3 coins etc.** This has happened to me several times. I’ve written them about this and they just give me some generic message. I want a refund on that purchase that their system just took from me last night.
  • Can’t trust the developers

I have played this game for over a year now and it took me lots of time and money to build my zoo up so I can sell hot items in the regattas to help my team and the developers decide to take all that time and money away. Poor decisions
  • New Zoo

I have been playing this game for years. I spend money as well. The new rules at the zoo are horrible. They require you to use a lot of hard to get resources and you get basically nothing in return. Very disappointed. I won’t be participating in the zoo anymore!
  • The zoo update

Don’t let them tell you how happy everyone is with the great new update. Check Facebook and read the complaints. This was a 5-star game until they took away interactive buildings and savings people had put aside to buy extra decor and instantly made them worthless. Now instead of planning your zoo, you hope for the right mix of cards to unlock them. Or you just stop playing like the rest of us.
