  • Killed my Happiness for the game

    By Betear
I’ve played this for over 2 years, collecting every character and spending hundred of dollars on all the special add-ons. This new update drops the Happiness level on your park so fast that you can’t even go to bed without messing up your game. When I emailed customer service, all I got was a canned response about how this change was based on what players wanted. So untrue! I’m going to keep playing because I’ve already invested so much of my life and money on it but honestly, I’m very unhappy about the state of the current game. Don’t download this! You will get frustrated fast! Hopefully they will change this since there are so many unhappy players but I wouldn’t hold my breath. The money-grab is too much of a lure for Gameloft.
  • Newest update ruined the game

    By oscarandjd
I used to love this game. I would give it five stars before this update, I’ve actually spend a good bit of money on it. I hate how it is now. The happiness meter is crazy. It goes down way too fast and there’s not enough people to make it higher. Before, I had to stop playing it at 8pm and my happiness would be at 100%, and at 9am the next morning it would be between 30-50%, and it was perfect. It only went up four percent at a time, but it went down so slow it didn’t matter. I’ve kept my happiness meter at the max level and haven’t let it drop to level 3 in like a year. It was so perfect and they completely ruined it. I can watch it drop before my eyes! It’s terrible. My meter was perfect and I loved it, but now I absolutely hate it. The second I do this update, it drops TWO LEVELS! PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK! ITS AWFUL NOW
  • Must be Able to play 24/7

By Bring back the game we loved!
I have loved this game for almost 3 years. But each update has brought more problems and greed from GameLoft. This last update you must play 24/7 to keep your “Happiness” level up and still use money to do it. The cost to play this game with any success has gone up to where most people can no longer afford to play. They have one event after the other to get your money. I don’t see myself play this game much longer! It makes me sick the amount of money I have spent on this game!!
  • Update ruined it

    By TrustLuv
Ever since the new update, happiness points drop way too fast. I’m always in the 4th level of happiness but now if I don’t play for JUST ONE HOUR, happiness drops all the way to the 3rd level. It takes so long to get it back up. And not only that, the chances of token drops are less likely when you don’t have full happiness points. Fix it! If this is done on purpose I’m uninstalling. It’s a shame because I’ve been playing since the beginning.
  • Latest update

I’ve been playing this game for a while and I love it. This new update ruined my happiness levels though. I’ve always maintained the happiness levels on ecstatic in the 90s but with this new update, I’m lucky if I can even get my levels to ecstatic in the 20s. The happiness levels drop so fast and I hate that when the happiness level hits joyous (one below ecstatic), collecting the happiness from visitors only gives one point of happiness...on top of this screwed up happiness points system, I feel like there’s barely any new visitors looking for wishes to be fulfilled and since chests take a while to be unlocked, I’m stuck watching my happiness levels quickly decline and there’s nothing I can do about it (without spending a ridiculous amount of potions from Merlin’s shop). I’ve always made sure to play this game at least a few times a day to get my happiness levels as high as possible but with this update making it so hard to do that, what’s the point?
  • Happiness update is GARBAGE

    By ktblueyes18
I’ve been playing for 3 years, and it’s been becoming more and more impossible to play without spending a bunch of money.
  • Great game, but impossible events!

    By MeuMeu8
Playing the Tower Challenge in the game, now have the “Who’s a good kitty” event. But you have to have Jasmine and Rajah to complete. Ok, but you can only get Rajah when you complete the Tower Challenge then the event is over?! That makes no sense! Good game otherwise.
  • Greedy Cash Grab

    By meceve8
I started playing DMK a little over a year ago and for me, it was my favorite app. It’s cute, colorful, and fun to unlock favorite characters. I knew from the beginning that some characters required spending money to get, but I figured it wouldn’t affect my gameplay much if I didn’t spend $10 to get one character. And at first, it didn’t. But with every update since then, this app has only gotten greedier and greedier by making it nearly impossible to progress after a certain point. And the occasional event for a chance to earn more characters was fun and even attainable for the average player. After the Princess and the Frog event, however, obtaining any special character from future events also became impossible without spending A LOT of real money. And how can you expect players to buy a land expansion that cost 1,000,000 magic when they’re only getting about 1,000 magic a day? The point is, they can’t without spending money. You’re running your game into the ground at this point, Disney. Start listening to your app users or soon you’re going to have none at all. And don’t you dare delete this review.
  • Almost 3 years in... We are done

    By Entertaining a toddler
We’ve been paying for this game regularly, buying characters, buying gems, and while the pricing has been steep, I didn’t object to paying for the fun. We stopped playing regularly about 7 months ago when I accepted that they had permanently increased the time & tokens required (count) and number of characters available through paid chances (and I mean $7-10 for an unsuccessful CHANCE at a character). Having more characters serves little purpose as tokens are typically only dropped by a few characters. The timeframe for challenges is too short; you get 80% to goal, the event completes, and then they offer for you to purchase at full price. The token payouts are poor even at maximum happiness. I was hoping they would realize the imbalance and correct, but that didn’t happen. Started playing again a couple of months ago still hoping for them to rebalance the investments of time and money against payouts. It’s not going to happen. They haven’t unlocked enough land and they make land unlocks purposefully poorly matched to contents so that you are forced to “waste” space. Too many characters go stagnant after you get them. The pricing is insane considering it’s a tycoon game with no real gameplay. There is no benefit to being a regularly paying customer. The contests within the game have insufficient rewards considering the intensity with which you must play to even place. They should have added a subscription 2 years ago that offset the need to charge for every small item. The time for tasks/missions is too long for most things and a 16-24 hour task is common (and not worth it when added to the poor payouts). It once was possible and fun to complete the events; it is not anymore - not fun, not engaging, not for us. Like I’ve seen other reviews state, the game has turned full-on greedy and it appears there is no going back.
