I love the NYT Cooking app! Great, easy to follow recipes, helpful notes from other users and timely emails that help with menu planning. Not only am I happy to pay for this app for our family, I’ve given it to a number of friends, as well!

Great app in many ways, no more paper slips, yay for that! Keeps things more or less in order. BUT a bit unwieldy, if you want to organize recipes after saving, slow, and worst takes up a Massive amount of space. More than almost anything I have loaded, it’s crazy. I deleted it once, but that makes me nervous.
  • No trial?

I signed up for a free trial on the web. Whenever I sign into the app, it says my account doesn’t have access to cooking. Cooking is the only thing I have access to online. Frustrating.
  • Ok but a bit pricey for what it offers

I subscribed mainly because I had saved a bunch of recipes while it was free and didn’t want to lose them. It has good recipes but the search function isn’t the best. Sometimes I have to find recipes by doing a Google search when their search doesn’t find a recipe I know I’ve made from the app. The app seems very pricey compared to the others. I paid the price mostly to support the paper!

I have always relied on the N.Y. Times for cooking recipes. They have the best writers.

East to use, and fun. I use it to save recipes, search recipes, and browse the recipe collections for inspiration.
  • You really don’t know how great this app is?!

I’m a print subscriber for decades, but between this app, the crossword app, and breaking news throughout the day on the NYT app, most days I don’t even get newsprint on my hands. I have hundreds of NYT recipes I’ve clipped over the years, but now here they all are, organized, beautifully photographed, searchable and always inspiring.

This is pretty good. Not over-the-top good, just a good solid choice.
