App Reviews

  • I’m sad

    By Piratonix
It’s so sad to see that the main place to watch this shows is such a terrible on. I can get around the clumsy interface quite well, after learning how to deal with the bugs, but the image quality is the worst. There is a lot of noise canceling going on in the shows, and go to 720p is a blessing that I experienced just a few times in my life with the site, the TV app, and the iPhone app. Netflix, Amazon and Hulu can offer Blu-ray quality image very easily, without downgrading. HBO NOW seems a terrible service compared to these. Such a shame to all the great content
  • Crap App

Doesn’t work with xbox one. When attempting to play content, it reverts back to the browse menu. Tried deleting app, re-installing, etc, etc, etc to no avail. App works on my phone only. I have fast and reliable internet and plenty of storage on the xbox. And it still doesnt work. I’m done trying. Gonna have to watch GOT at a friend’s house.
  • Lag and loading issues

I don’t know if it is a problem with the new update but my videos take forever to load and then lag and eventually buffer for minutes at a time on WiFi and data.

Broken parental controls make the app completely useless. At least useless for anything other than charging $14 a month
  • App needs improving on all platforms

    By Omar M.E.R.G.
I love the movies and tv shows they have. The one thing that is seriously annoying is that when you rewatch something you don’t get an option to play from beginning it starts off at the ending credits if you select the next episode towards the end, it works ok when you leave an episode midway. It’s annoying having to manually start from the beginning.
  • Update doesn’t work

What’s the point of including titles in the app name when they won’t load.
  • Now, it’s good

Thank you for updating the app to be optimized for the newer iPad pros, before the final season of GOT hits. I have no complaint with the app now.
  • Shows are good, app is not

    By [Anonymous] listener
The app is just clunky and old feeling. You can finally save shows to your list but it’s not even the first thing you see when you open the app. I always need closed captioning but it doesn’t keep them on from episode to episode. Each episode, I have to open the app, let it buffer to show the connection with my TV and then turn on closed captioning again. Then because it only rewinds 10 seconds at a time, I have to keep rewinding, waiting for buffering, rewind again to get back to the beginning (when the closed captioning should have just been on). Not very assessable
  • Now with 2018 iPad Pro support!

Nice app, happy to have it work properly on my iPad.
  • Glitchy

    By Eleph8
Generally runs okay but lately it has been glitchy. I expect more from a premium type app that we pay for.
